New Training Group

This week I have had the ‘pleasure’ of a new group of inductees for our 4 Customer Street sales branches. I often change the method of the induction when I get a feel for a group and, more importantly, their knowledge of the internet and searching.

The quality of our new staff has improved dramatically over the last 12 months as we now have a dedicated Recruitment manager in Jason Harris.  The main theme of this week’s course was search engineering. This would be something I would usually cover in various work shops and evening courses but with it being a strong group of inductees I decided to cover it earlier in this instance. The results that our directories are now achieving are phenomenal. I am that confident of our service that new starters can test me on any search engine and they quote a trade and town. For every phrase I was requested to find, there was at least one Customer Street client or directory visible on the first page. Whereas Ufindus has been established for a few years now and would be expected to appear on the big 3 of Google, Yahoo and MSN it is heartening to see that already Smilelocal and Moreuk are featuring prominently also. Needless to say the group were very impressed!

    One of the remarkable things about Customer Street is that we can get the site built, indexed and appearing in Google within a few days. Very often it can take up to 12 months for a site to get indexed, appear in Google and ranked accordingly.

    We have had customers who have got to number 1 on Google in less than two weeks. We’re finding that many of customers are very happy to get their websites indexed and appearing in the top ten listings on Google in such a very short time scale.

    Of course we can’t guarantee that every site will get to #1 on Google – no one can – but at the moment we seem to be doing extremely well at getting sites indexed and appearing in Google quickly.

  3. Just following on from Adrian’s comments our sales people are now very proactive in their organisation and how they prepare their day. They are now using the numerous (1000s) of examples of our customers’ phenomenal search engine results to get their message across to potential clients!

    A common and quite fair objection that customers use is “how can you guarantee me results/business?” Or “how can you prove this to me?” Well the answers are simply on search engines. Whatever trade, town or search you may try on search engines today, we WILL have someone there. We do not guarantee first page results and we certainly don’t guarantee business, but it isn’t rocket science! Customer Street websites, trade sites and directories, including smilelocal and moreuk are all featuring prominently on major search engines. The point must be – “how can you not get business from this, if you are exposed in almost every route an internet user may take, the chances are you will benefit massively as a company!”
